Natural alternatives for beautiful hair colour
Enjoy healthy, glossy hair colored to a fresh and lively shade using Logona Herbal Hair Colours. Unlike chemical methods, herbal colours do not penetrate the hair shaft, but coat the outside of each hair shaft with a protective, volumising layer. The colour layer reflects light, making your hair shinier, and also smoothes over the roughened exterior of the hair shaft, making your hair more manageable. The results are expressive colours, glossy good looks, and increased volume.
Pure and natural ingredients
Logona creates hair colors using certified organically grown henna and various plant materials, including walnut shells, chamomile, and rhubarb root. For your added peace-of-mind, an independent laboratory tests each batch of raw materials used in the hair colors for undesirable agriculture chemicals and heavy metal concentrations.
Logona hair colors DO NOT CONTAIN synthetic colors, preservatives, or fragrances, or other chemical substances. Each Logona hair color is a BDIH-certified natural product.
Logona Herbal Hair Colors also contain jojoba and wheat protein to condition your hair as you color. They also contain algin to improve the texture of the color mixture to an easy-to-apply, creamy gel. Finally, Logona adds pure essential oils to improve the fragrance.
Usage instructions:
1) Mix herbal hair colour powder with boiling water. And leave for 30min.
2) Shampoo hair and dry.
3) Apply herbal hair colour mixture to hair generously.
4) Cover henna with the plastic cap (provided with each box of Logona Hair Colour) and then a towel.
5) Leave on for an hour. The longer the mixture is left on, the darker the colour.
6) Apply heat from a hair dryer. The heat and length of time will increase the depth of the colour.
Colours Recommendations:
HENNA RED
Henna red is suitable for most colors except for dark brown and white hair.White hair will go orange. For up to 50% grey, henna red will give a red brown color. For a darker color, apply henna red one day and black the next day. This is two separate applications and will give a red brown without any brassy color.Henna red over brown hair gives a red brown. Remember you can have a more professional look and go for henna red foils at the hairdressers.
MAHOGANY
Mahogany color is less red than henna red and is suitable for brown hair and adds red to brown color. The difference between henna red and mahogany is that mahogany has more black added. On grey hair ( white hair ) it will be bright red. The lighter the color the brighter the result.Always test a strand of hair first. For a more natural color add mahogany foils instead of applying the color all over.Alternatively use two foils say walnut red-brown and mahogany foils. You will need a hairdresser for this technique.
CHESTNUT BROWN
Chestnut Brown is suitable for most colors except dark brown hair. On 50% grey hair it will give a blonde effect however it will not lighten but adds gold and gives an illusion of lighter hair. Chestnut brown will add gold effects to light brown hair. For 80% to 100% grey hair apply chestnut brown to the roots of hair only for a more natural look. This will blend and will not be brassy as the grey hair on the ends will take any brassy effects away. The effect is light on for the first time of coloring. When retouching the roots leave the ends for a more natural look.
UMBER BROWN
Umber Brown is the least gold color and is suitable for all brown colored hair and for grey hair. Umber brown will not go dark on very grey hair. Umber brown is good for customers who do not want any gold highlights and works well on 50% grey hair and is a darker color than chestnut and natural brown.
SAHARA BLONDE
Sahara Blonde is more gold than golden Blonde and the longer you leave it on the more color will be added to your hair which is the case for all henna's. Sahara blonde is suitable for blonde hair to add some gold color and can be applied to grey hair for a golden blonde color.Once you get used to the various colors you will be more confident with using herbal hair colors. If by chance you feel the color is a little brassey, just leave it and you will find with some shampooing the color will settle and look more natural in a short time.Sometimes it is a good idea when you need to retouch the roots and leave the ends so as not to result in any brassy color.
WALNUT RED BROWN
Walnut Red-Brown adds gold /copper color to very strong coarse hair and can add copper to fine and grey hair. If the hair is coarse the copper will be less dominant..The roots do not take as well as the ends, somehow the color can bounce off the roots. Always shampoo the hair and exclude conditioner just prior to applying herbal hair colors. Walnut red brown is nice on light brown hair to add a shine and some gold /copper color however usually does not add a lot of copper. For variation of color apply walnut red brown on one section of hair and leave the next natural. You could also do one strand walnut red brown and the next strand henna red. This would be quite bright on light brown hair. The lighter the base the brighter the color.Walnut-red brown is okay over bleached hair for a copper effect however test first.
NATURAL BROWN
Natural Brown is suitable for med blonde and light brown hair and can be used on grey hair up to100% grey hair. For the light brown and blonde hair, natural brown will give a shine and add some brown color. For 50% to 60% grey will add brown color and cover the greys to a degree. The more application the better the coverage and the color will build up over time. For 80% grey, the color will be a blonde color and will look great.
BLACK
Black is a tricky color and when mixed in a bowl, will go blue if left for a while and can turn bleached hair green so do not mix a lot of black with other colors however on natural hair usually does not go green .Do not use on bleached hair. For grey hair use henna red one day and apply black the next. This result will be red brown without any brassy color as the black tones the red down. Black on grey hair will go bluish. If using black with other colors use around 10% black. Black on natural hair, med brown (no bleach) will go black.
USAGE TIPS
- DO colour right after perming. The hair is very susceptible to dye after a perm, and our 100% natural formulation will feed and nourish the hair at the same time.
- DON'T mix herbal colours with chemical hair colours as discolouration may result. If you think you may still have traces of a chemical dye in your hair, always test a strand first.
- DON'T mix more than 10% black with other colours.
- For better coverage and intense colour, shampoo and rinse. Then rinse your hair with a baking soda solution by dissolving a teaspoon of bicarbonate soda (baking soda) into a cup of water. Do this before applying the herbal hair colours as this will help the colour coat the hair strands more effectively.
We also recommend Logona Colour Plus Colour Preparation as a preparatory step before colouring your hair. This green clay based deep cleanser prepares your hair optimally optimally for colouring with all Logona hair colouring products. The unique combination of green mineral clay and birch leaf extract gently removes all traces of foreign residues, which vastly improves the bonding between your hair and the colour mixture. - To colour GREY hair, apply UMBER BROWN colour for a brown colour and leave for 2 hours (or all day if you can!). Re-apply after a week for a deeper brown colour.
- On GREY / WHITE hair, the brown shades will be light, and the reds will go orange. Black henna is not recommended on grey or blonde hair.
- Repeated application of the hair colours will improve intensity of colour and coverage.
